La próxima vista contra Jeremy Randy Del Valle se llevará a cabo este martes, 27 de octubre.
El reconocido abogado criminalista Leo Aldridge, y abogado defensor del turista, expondrá, ante el juez Alexis Del Valle, las partes del informe presentencia a las que se opone y las razones de su objeción.
Cabe destacar que dicho informe denegó el privilegio de la probatoria al convicto debido a su historial criminal. Al denegársele la probatoria, dada la pena de 10 años, esto significa 10 años en cárcel; sin embargo, la decisión final recae en el juez Alexis Del Valle.
Esperamos que esta vez la fuerza policíaca sea orientada a proteger a la pasiva familia y a la comunidad viequense. En la vista anterior, observamos que la fuerza armada policíaca estuvo, de manera amenazante, de frente a la comunidad y víctimas, y de espaldas ante el turista convicto con historial criminal, cuyo récord incluye haber atacado a un policía en Virginia luego de ser arrestado por robar en JCPenney, entre otros cargos, por lo que la familia y amigos de Carlitos se sintieron intimidados.
Le pedimos al juez Alexis Del Valle que tome nota de las pasadas agresiones del convicto a la policía y proteja a la familia y a la comunidad, quienes, en los momentos más estresantes de este proceso, se han limitado y continuarán limitándose a mantenerse pasivos.
Añadimos que uno de los hermanos de la víctima, aún continúa esperando por la aceptación o denegación de su solicitud para asistir a la sentencia por medio remoto.
A pesar de los innumerables intentos de Rio Cruz para obtener una respuesta, aún no se le confirma. Cabe señalar que Rio Cruz reside en California y en los pasados dos meses ha viajado en 3 ocasiones a Puerto Rico para estar presente en las vistas ante el magistrado, de las cuales dos fueron canceladas.

The next hearing against Jeremy Randy Del Valle will take place this Tuesday, October 27th.
Renowned criminal defense attorney Leo Aldridge, and defense lawyer of the tourist, will present to Judge Alexis Del Valle the specific sections of the pre-sentence report he is objecting to and the reasons why. Notably, the pre-sentence report denied probation privileges to the convict due to his criminal history. Denying probation, given the 10-year sentence, means serving 10 years in prison; however, the final decision ultimately rests with Judge Alexis Del Valle.
We hope that this time the police force is directed to protect the peaceful family and the Vieques community. During the previous hearing, the armed police force turned towards the family in a threatening way, and their backs on the convicted tourist with a criminal history, whose record includes attacking a police officer in Virginia after being arrested for shoplifting at JCPenney, among other charges, so Carlitos’ family and friends present were immensely afraid that the officers might shoot or attack them in the courtroom.
We ask the judge to take note of the convict’s past assaults on law enforcement and to protect the family and community who, in the most stressful moments of this process, have remained and will continue to remaining peaceful.
We add that one of the victim’s brothers, is still waiting for the approval or denial of their request to attend the sentencing remotely. Despite Rio Cruz’s countless attempts to obtain a response, confirmation has still not been provided. It is worth noting that Rio Cruz resides in California and in the past two months has traveled on 3 occasions to Puerto Rico to be present at the sentencings, which two of them were canceled.
